Sharks International Conference 2022 (SI2022)

The Sharks International Conference 2022 (SI2022) engaged 600 delagates from 69 countries over 8 days in October 2022. Standing on the shoulders of hugely successful previous Sharks International conference events, the 2022 event took advantage of advances in online meeting technology to deliver a truly accessible event.

The community that now looks forward to the next Sharks International in Sri Lanka can continue to communicate and forge collaboration through this legacy platform. We also plan to host follow-up online events during 2023 and release edited excerpts from the 2022 event.

The combined program included over 280 speakers from 69 countries, representing themes from genetics to telemetry, behaviour to fisheries impacts, advocacy, communication and citizen science. And much more. In addition to talks, the conference featured a rich diversity of research, presented through posters and digital presentations.
